Easy Turkey Pom Pom Headband

Updated: Nov 29, 2021

Thanksgiving may get bundled up with Christmas, but as a secret 'foodie', it's one of my favorite holidays! Growing up my family always went all out on Thanksgiving, and we were blessed enough to have leftovers for days (the best part, duh!) One traditional food I could never do without --mashed potatoes! From the Macy's Day Parade, to playing board games while the food smells waft from the kitchen, Thanksgiving will always have a special place in my heart.

Also, if you know me, you know I'll go to great lengths to make any holiday a little extra! Enter this 10 minute craft, sure to make your little turkey's excited for this seemingly over-looked holiday.

Materials:

Brown Yarn

Pom Pom Maker

Craft Feathers

Stiff Felt

Hot Glue Gun

Plain Headband

Instructions:

Step 1: Make your pom pom using your largest size pom pom maker (linked on my Amazon Crafters Must-Have list here) Affiliate Link

Step 2: Attach the pom pom to the headband using a strip of felt and hot glue. I opted to have mine offset and not directly in the center.

Step 3: Grab your stiff felt and cut out a turkey head shape, with a beak and wattle. Hot glue it into your pom pom, making sure to push it in towards the center of the pom for the most stability.

Step 4: Add your feathers and you're done!
